Sunday, November 1, 2026, 4:30–11:00 p.m.: Amara Baja celebrates its first anniversary with “Catrina del Desierto,” a Día de Muertos gathering honoring the people, land and sea of Baja California Sur. The chapel becomes a mega altar where every guest can write the names of loved ones who have passed; Catrinas move through the grounds, 12 guest chefs cook from 5 to 7 p.m. (each shadowed by a Catrina), three bakeries join the table, and live music carries the night. Proceeds from a protein auction and fundraising benefit Pesca con Futuro, supporting sustainable fishing in the region.
